Despite having plenty of objectives on the horizon, Ibiza is making sure not to neglect its daily routine and league aspirations. Ibiza got off to a winning start of the second half of the season against Las Palmas Atlético thanks to a Kwasi Sibo goal, his first of the season. Connecting with an inch-perfect cross by Javi Lara on the hour mark, Sibo rose the highest to open the score in a match which Ibiza controlled from start to finish. Ibiza would have had the chance to take the lead much earlier, however, when Rodado had a penalty saved by the opposition keeper and when Mariano’s goal-bound header was disallowed by the referee for an apparent infringement on the Las Palmas defence.
Ibiza will now focus on its next league fixture away to Rayo Majadahonda on Sunday in an effort to extend its good run of form in Group 1 of the Second Division B.
