Ibiza were unable to continue their run of positive away results and now turn their focus to the match against UCAM Murcia.

Ibiza couldn’t add to their two-game winning run in away matches. It was a game in which the home side were better over the ninety minutes. The opening minutes of the game were even, with both sides weighing each other up and trying to win the midfield battle; there were few clear chances at either end. As the first half advanced, Cartagena began imposing their play on the game, and their first two goals arrived in quick succession. Santi Jara drove his shot into the top corner to open the scoring and Jesús Álvaro doubled the home side’s lead after a defensive error from Ibiza.

The second half saw Cartagena continue as they’d left off, with Moyita scoring at the beginning of the half to make it three. 10 minutes later, Aketxe added another. Munua’s team were very effective with their finishing, and they showed it on two further occasions with goals from Rubén Cruz and Santi Jara sealing a painful defeat for Ibiza. The team now focus on next Sunday’s match against UCAM Murcia.
