UD Ibiza have appointed Andrés Palop as new first team head coach. The new Ibiza head coach, 44 years old, had a long and successful playing career at clubs such as Villareal CF, Valencia CF, Sevilla FC and Bayern Leverkusen. He made his debut as a coach with CD Alcoyano in Segunda División B Group IV, in the 2015/16 season.
As a player his honours list includes two LaLiga titles, two Spanish Cups, one Spanish Super Cup, three UEFA Europa Leagues and two UEFA Super Cups. He also won the 2008 European Championships with Spain.
Ruben Mora, Juan José Jiménez and Álex Prieto will also join the Club as members of the first team coaching staff.
