Ibiza keeps adding reinforcements to its second team. The latest signing to arrive at Sant Rafel is Esteban Orozco (Zaragoza, 7 May 1998), a right back who joins the club from Utrera, club from the Seville province where he developed as a player. Arriving in Andalucía as a young child, he quickly stood out in the youth teams of his local team. His talent and potential soon caught the eye of Real Betis Balompié resulting in Esteban being signed to the club’s academy.
At Heliópolis, he had the opportunity to make his debut in Second Division B making three appearances for Betis Deportivo in the 2017/2018 season. He was also called up to the national team of Equatorial Guinea where he played one match, representing the country of his biological parents. After a number of years as a Bético, he then returned to Utrera where he played in the Third Division of a group made up of Western Andalusian teams.
Now, Esteban will get to know Balearic football. The Andalusian player will link up with Sant Rafel to shore up the team’s defence and profile himself as a potential squad player for Pablo Alfaro should the need arise to bolster Ibiza’s defence throughout the season.
