0-1. A Balearic victory in a derby at a packed Can Misses

Atlético Baleares ran out winners after a hard-fought and very evenly matched derby. Nearly 3500 spectators saw the match at a sky blue draped Can Misses. Ibiza was unable to provide its fans with another victory after eleven months of being unbeaten at home. The visit of the league leaders, a rock-solid Baleares outfit, ensured that the three points would be taken across to Mallorca.

The first 30 minutes was a sounding out between the two sides. The mutual respect both sides have for each other was clearly visible on the field. While trying to identify their respective weak points, Ibiza had its clearest chance. A pass from Kike López was picked up by Javi Pérez who tested the goalkeeping skills of Manu Herrera. The shot took a dangerous bounce which the Baleares keeper had to deal with twice under the pressure of Rodado before conceding a corner. It was the highlight of a first half that was scarce in terms of goalscoring opportunities although Ibiza took the majority of the initiative.

The first half performance did not convince the opposition's coach Manix Mandiola. Making two changes at half-time, the visitors from Mallorca soon had no substitutions left after Manu Herrera had to come off after a clash with Raí injuring himself considerably. It was the second knock the goalkeeper picked up after colliding with Sergio Cirio in a one on one earlier.

With over thirty minutes left to play, the visitors could not make any further substitutions. However, this apparent disadvantage did not eventuate as many might have assumed. The remainder of the match proved to be tough for Ibiza as the opposition's only shot on goal translated into the match's only goal. An opportunistic Gabarre, continuing his goalscoring run, put the visitors ahead on 56 minutes. It was a tough pill to swallow for Ibiza that soon introduced Javi Lara–doubtful for the match until before kick-off– and Diego Mendoza into proceedings. Not long after, Grima came on for Kike, had to come off with an injury. Ginard, the away side's second goalkeeper did well to keep Cirio and Lara from equalising for Ibiza who were pushing for what would have been a deserved equaliser.

Not giving up until the very end, Ibiza tried everything in its power to salvage a point from an encounter that lived up to the characteristics of a derby. It was Atlético Baleares, however, that eventually ran out winners at a packed Can Misses stadium that saw the spectators push the home team until the final whistle in an atmosphere Pablo Alfaro described during the consequent press conference as "reminiscent of a match in a higher category of football".

Ibiza's home ground truly was a cauldron for a celebration of football where the only item missing were the points.
