Ibiza shifts its focus towards Sunday's home debut

After a long preseason and plenty of friendly matches, Ibiza has its sights firmly set on the first home fixture of the season. On Sunday, Rayo Majadahonda will visit the Estadio de Can Misses that will be a sky blue cauldron. The wait for fans to see Pablo Alfaro's side on home soil is nearly over. After returning from Las Palmas last Sunday, the first squad was straight back into training yesterday and will enjoy a day's rest today.

Tomorrow, both the players and the coaching staff will return to the pitch. On the agenda is a double session. Hard work and sacrifice are the team's main focus in order to get to Sunday's clash in the best possible shape. Thursday, Friday and Saturday are equally scheduled to be intense training days ahead of the match against Rayo Majadahonda. In taking on the side from Madrid, playing in the Second Division last season, Ibiza will aim for a first victory to provide its fans with joy and happiness.

The support of the club keeps growing in numbers and ten days ago surpassed 1000 season ticket holders. There are plenty of reasons, then, to dream and wish for a successful season ahead. A long journey awaits, however, with 38 matches to be played in total. Sunday's fixture marks merely the second step on a journey which still has 36 eventful chapters in the offing.
