PALOP: “I'D LIKE TO REINFORCE WHAT WE SAW LAST WEEK BUT THE MAIN AIM IS THE WIN.”
The Ibiza head coach spoke to the media at the pre-match press conference for the upcoming away game against San Fernando. In answer to a question regarding the mentality with which the team need to go into Sunday’s match, Palop replied that “If we go into the game thinking it will be difficult to get a result, we’ll already be creating a fear factor for ourselves. We should respect the opposition and know that we need to give it everything we have. We’ll travel there confident of getting the three points.”
REVIEWING THE WEEK
“We began the week with a bitter taste in the mouth. But it’s behind us now and we’ve seen a great response from the players during the week. I’d like to see the same level of performance as last week but add improved concentration levels. I’m very happy with the work that has been done over the week."
WHAT THE MANAGER WANTS TO SEE ON SUNDAY
'I'd like to reinforce what we saw from the team last week. I want people to recognise our style of play and say: that's the Ibiza we saw on Sunday. They know when to play, when to go more direct, they do the right things at the right time. But above all, I'd like us to get the three points. Right now the main aim, over and above the manner in which we do it, is getting the win."
"We’ve had a full squad to work with during the week. We’re keeping an eye on Gonzalo as he’s had a little knock. Cirio and Riverola are back fully fit. We'll decide our matchday squad tomorrow."
