Ibiza resumes preseason training after two days off
The squad of Unión Deportiva Ibiza enjoyed a well-deserved rest after ten days of high intensity training in Valencia. The players were grateful for their time off (from Saturday afternoon until Monday lunchtime) to disconnect and refresh with their partners, families or friends, by returning to their homes, flying to Ibiza or making the most of the tourist attractions on offer in Valencia.
After 48 hours of free time, it was time to trade in the leisure wear for the training gear once again. What remains is one last week of training at Cracks football academy. The days will centre around accumulating training sessions, enjoying the occasional group activity in order to cultivate a growing cohesion in the dressing room as well as adding minutes in two more friendlies which will take place at the academy located in Antonio de Benagéber (Valencia).
On Wednesday (7 August) Ibiza will play host to Villarreal B. The match will kick off at 10am. Then, Club Deportivo Castellón – playing in group III of Second Division B just like Villarreal B– will be the following team to square off against Ibiza on 11 August. That match will take place at 7pm.
Soon after on Monday, 12 August, the team will have to pack up and get ready for their return to the island: the travelling party of thirty will leave Valencia in the early hours of the morning to make its way back to Ibiza. Once back on home soil, the squad will prepare to tackle the home stretch of its preseason.
