The players highlight the collective merit of the sky blue team
"Considering the length of the entire season, it's very important that we all make our contributions: those who start the match, the substitutes and those who are not playing", said Miguel Núñez after the team's triumph over Pontevedra. His teammate Raí Nascimento reiterated the same views while speaking to the press: "That's what it's all about: when you talk about a team, you talk about a collective unit". The Brazilian acknowledged that the victory is an important moral boost, but stresses the importance of being cautious: "We're very pleased, but we also know that every match is different. The way forward for us is to work every week as though it is our last".
A positive way of approaching things which, according to Núñez, shows that Ibiza is taking it one match at a time, while demonstrating its personality on the pitch. "The team is making it quite clear that it knows what it wants to achieve, to go out from the beginning and compete and fight until the end. That speaks highly of what we do on a daily basis. Results are going our way at the moment and that's important as it confirms our ideas and interpretations of football", said one of the team's five captains.
