0-1: A CIRIO PENALTY GIVES IBIZA THE WIN OVER SANLUQUEÑO
Ibiza picked up a third consecutive win in Sunday's away match against Sanluqueño, adding three more points to the season's tally. Andrés Palop's side put in an excellent away performance, working hard on and off the ball to achieve an important victory that moves the team closer to their objective of the play-off places.
The home team started the game on the front foot and created various chances to score. Guiza came close to scoring on two occasions in the first half, one of his efforts was brilliantly saved off the line by Rodado. Ibiza then went straight up the other end and Cirio slid a great ball across for Rodado but the young striker couldn't quite get on the end of it.
The second half started much more positively for Ibiza. Chavero fired a rocket towards the top corner but the goalkeeper got a hand to it. The team pushed forward looking to open the scoring but the home side also had their share of possession and Ibiza had to defend well for periods of the half. The key moment arrived in the 85th minute. A foul was committed on Gonzalo in the area, and Cirio stuck it away to give Ibiza a 0-1 win.
