1-0: FIRST WIN OF THE ALFARO ERA
A Bonilla free kick gives Ibiza the three points at Can Misses.
The Can Misses crowd enjoyed another intense and exciting match with the home team running out 1-0 winners. Bonilla scored a free kick in the second half and it was enough to give Pablo Alfaro his first victory as Ibiza head coach in his third game in charge.
The match proved to be a clash of styles straight from kick-off. Ibiza were dominating possession and finding space in the wide channels, while Talavera were content to sit back and break whenever they got the chance. Bonilla had a double chance when a loose ball dropped at his feet from a corner; his first effort was blocked and the second sailed over the bar. Ibiza were looking particularly dangerous down the right wing with Raí and Fobi combining to get plenty of balls into the box. The visitors came close to snatching a goal on the stroke of half-time but their header went just wide of the post.
The second half continued in much the same fashion and Ibiza were seeing a lot of possession in the final third. The goal arrived in the 64th minute through a superb free kick from Bonilla which bent over the wall and dipped into the bottom right corner. Alfaro's side held onto possession well after going ahead and closed out the 1-0 result. Ibiza get back to winning ways and now turn the focus to next week's fixture against Linense.
