Ibiza took all three points from their away trip to Talavera in what was the second league win in a row for Andrés Palop's side. Two goals from Cirio and excellent work on and off the ball from the whole team gave Ibiza the win against opposition who were previously unbeaten at home.
The opening twenty minutes of the game were cagey, with both teams trying to win control of the midfield. As Ibiza grew into the game they began to look increasingly dangerous on the counter-attack. On the 24th minute, Iosu split the defence with a through-ball for Serra to run on to. The right winger's shot was saved by the Talavera goalkeeper but Cirio was on hand to slot home the rebound and put Palop's side ahead.
The second half began with the home side piling the pressure on but the Ibiza defence managed to weather the storm. As the half went on, the away side once again showed their danger on the break. One such attack led to Cirio's second of the match, with the forward running onto a ball from Chavero and finishing with an emphatic strike. That goal effectively sealed the win, with the opposition unable to get back into it. Ibiza now focus on the next match at Can Misses against Linense.
