1-1: THE POINTS ARE SHARED AT CAN MISSES

The match finished with honours even, despite the best efforts of an Ibiza team who pushed hard for the win in an exciting second half.

Ibiza were unable to get the first victory of the Alfaro era. Back in front of the Can Misses crowd after two consecutive away fixtures, the home side fought until the very end against a San Fernando team who had grabbed an early lead. It was Gonzalo who got the equaliser in the second half.

The match began in the worst possible way with an Ibiza own goal from a set piece. Ibiza were down and found it hard to get into their stride during a stop-start first half which never really got going for either side. Ibiza had more of the possession but couldn't create any clear chances, while San Fernando looked to use the counter-attack against a well-organised defence.

Alfaro's men began the second half with renewed vigour and started to find more pockets of space in the final third. Cirio had a good effort on goal from the edge of the box saved. And it was from one of various Ibiza corners that the equaliser finally came. A towering Gonzalo header flew past the opposition goalkeeper and into the back of the net to put Ibiza back on level terms. The final twenty minutes saw Ibiza push hard for a winner, throwing men forward and getting balls into the box.

The clearest chance to grab a late winner came in an injury time goalmouth scramble, but the San Fernando goalkeeper made a double save to deny Ibiza the three points. The team now turn their focus to the next fixture against Marbella.
