Ibiza out to remain the best away team in its visit to A Malata

Being winless in six matches is a dire situation for any club to deal with. To pick up just one point out of the last possible eighteen is a situation any manager and squad would rather avoid. That's precisely the situation that Racing de Ferrol faced before breaking that horrid run of results with a win last weekend. Emilio Larraz' men turned around their fortunes as they beat Sporting B at Mareo 1-0 in round 24 of Segunda B action. Juan Antonio's goal ensured that Ferrol could move away from the drop zone and position itself within seven points from fourth spot on the table.

As Ibiza visits Ferrol on Sunday, part of Pablo Alfaro's team's mission will be to halt Ferrol's recently new found momentum and put it on hold for one week. Coming into Sunday's match, the islanders haven't lost in their last ten league outings. The most recent run of form for both teams could therefore not be any more different. Ibiza will take to A Malata with the necessary confidence on the back of not having conceded a goal in its last five matches, highlighting the defensively solid performances of the Sky Blues as the side with the least amount of goals conceded in Group 1 of Segunda B.

As far as personnel for the match, Pablo Alfaro will not be able to count on the services of Miguel Núñez who misses the match due to suspension (having accumulated 5 yellow cards). Nevertheless, Ibiza has travelled to Galicia with its entire squad which has spent the latter part of the week in surrounding area of La Coruña (with training sessions taking place at Depor's Abegondo training hub as well as Atlético Arteixo's ground) in preparation for Sunday's match. The islanders' head coach can therefore pick from a list of the remaining twenty footballers to make up the match-day squad of 18 nominated players. This round 25 league encounter promises to be an interesting affair in a stadium that is known for its warm home support. Ibiza will have to meet its next challenge by aiming to continue its status of the best performing away team in its group, a test Pablo Alfaro's men are ready for after a solid three-day training camp in Spain's northwest.
