Pablo Alfaro: "I like the sense of stability you can feel around the club"

Pablo Alfaro knows that the opposition Ibiza will face this Sunday as part of match day six is coming to the island to honour and represent a traditional jersey of Spanish football. "Racing de Ferrol is an historic club that in a few days' time will celebrate its centenary", explained the head coach of Ibiza during today's press conference at Can Misses. As is the case on Fridays, Alfaro analysed the characteristics of his team's upcoming rival. According to the coach, Ferrol "likes having the ball and taking the initiative to create plays", aspects which should allow for "a great game" at Can Misses. Facing "a veteran team, with a core of players who have been at the club for quite some time", Ibiza will have yet another test to overcome to continue its good run of form.

The good start to the league can be attributed to, among other things, the balance the team has been able to form between defence and attack. "If you consider the goals scored statistics, we're among the best in the league at the moment. From a defensive point of view, the team has been very solid. We have been conceding very little. Both things combined allow us to be exactly what we want: a well-balanced team", stated Alfaro.

The coach also knows that the element of patience, emphasised during the summer training camp, will be key in order to continue racking up good results. "I like the consistency", explained Alfaro to the media, "that we are seeing in our work. You can sense and feel the level of stability among the players, the coaching staff as well as the administration of the club. The level of willingness shown by the players has been fantastic. Even our Monday sessions are of a very high level. That means that players who were selected on Sunday turn around and think: 'I can't drop my level'. This "healthy competition", said Alfaro, will be key to bringing the team to "the destination we want to get to".
