Toni Arranz: "If we give the coach a selection headache, it's to the benefit of the whole team"
If anyone was extremely happy after the win against Internacional de Madrid, it most definitely was Toni Arranz. The Madrid-born player had already played several minutes as a substitute in previous matches, but today in replacing the suspended Miguel Núñez, he was in the starting eleven for the first time since calling Can Misses home. "I'm really happy. I've been working hard for this moment for a long time and finally it arrived. As players, it's our job to make it hard for the coach to make his selection decisions, and if he has a hard time to do so, it means the whole team benefits", said Ibiza's number 6 at the stadium's mixed zone.
The midfielder wasn't surprised by the way the opposition lined up: "It was a game reminiscent of previous matches we've had here so far. It's tough to get into these types of games, but eventually you do and lucky we have decisive players up front who can decide games for us". Echoing those thoughts was Javi Lara: "You all know what Second Division B is all about. It's tough to play against very robust and compact teams who change their approach when they come here". The author of the first goal which unlocked Inter's steely defence (his second goal of the season) feels right at home on the island and in the team, especially. "No matter what sport you play, it's tough to keep a winning streak going. That's why we highly value what we're achieving at the moment", explained Lara, one of the team's most experienced players.
